Originally a child in Namai during the Garlean Occupation, Daikisho and his birth parents attempted to flee to Kugane when his father discovered there were plans to forcibly take Daikisho into the Garleans' "care," turning him into a war youth.However, his parents were caught, and subseqentially killed, right in front of Daikisho's eyes. With her final breaths, Daikisho's mother pled for her son to flee "to where the Garleans dare not tread;" the Azim Steppe, a land declared pointless for conquest. With quick feet and determination, Daikisho managed to flee into the tunnels leading from Yanxia to the Steppe, losing the Garleans in the darkness.However, the distance was grand, and a child's constitution could only carry so far. Collapsing in the tunnel, his fate, however, wouldn't find his end here. For within the tunnels lived an outcast hermit medicine man, living amidst the stone walls.Seeing potential in Daikisho, he bid the boy to drink a potion, but Daikisho was hesitant and defiant at first, refusing the man's "pity." When it was clear the hermit had no qualms on leaving him behind, Daikisho would swallow his pride, and put his trust in the mysterious Xaela.Almost instantly, his chest would burn. His blood felt like fire, his heart raced with new life, and a sharp glow took to his red eyes. Brimming with new energy, he would continue on, leaving the hermit behind.That potion contained the ashes of a Phoenix, and unknowing to Daikisho, consuming the potion blessed him with a Phoenix's heart. His body practically brims with energy, fire magic comes naturally to him, and the most miraculous of all, as long as the heart was strong, no wound was too mortal to heal.In the end, he made the journey to Reunion, where the neutral Qestir oversaw the markets. Only when he saw more people did he collapse once more, the hunger and thirst and fatigue finally winning.Here, the Qestir nurtured the boy back to health, and from there, called upon an Elder of the Malaguld tribe to evaluate and take in the boy.There, he was adopted into the tribe. The young son of a lesbian couple and their older daughter.
When out, Daikisho almost always wears his hair up in a high ponytail. The tie itself is an unremarkable shade of ruddy brown, but attached to the tie is a brilliant, white swan feather, that seems to resist the march of time in degrading.
Attached to his hip when he's out and about is a sheathe that seems to be showing its age. While decorated and tended to with care, some missing designs can be seen. The blade, when withdrawn, looks perfectly ordinary at a glance, but quickly takes on runic flames when held by Daikisho. When wielded by any other, the blade appears to be of modest-yet-sturdy make, and takes on no bizarre properties.
Currently, Daikisho wears the same outfit to practically every outing; a rather elegant set, carefully picked out from merchants selling in Reunion to appear more capable. He takes great strides that the outfit isn't marred in various ways, and always keeps it clean for the next day. Surely it can't be his only set of clothes...?
A new addition to his get-up, Daikisho obtained his set of glasses during his brief stay in Kugane, when a seller realized Daikisho's poor eyesight was a big contribution to his confusion at finding anything. Still getting used to the new accessory on his face, part of him almost dismissed the idea due to the annoyance of upkeep... until a few passing Hyurs remarked on how handsome he appeared in said glasses.
While the glow of limbal rings isn't uncommon within Auri individuals, Daikisho's eyes actually glow completely. Red eyes accented by orange limbal rings, his eyes burn with determination, as much as a warmth not unlike a fire. It also makes his oddly-shaped, slit pupils all the more noticeable.
Daikisho has a smaller set of horns upon his forehead, almost bringing to mind the image of an Oni. The same color as his scales with black tips, while they don't seem to help with hearing like his main horns do, they do seem to give him a slightly more intimidating appearance.
When Daikisho flashes one of his winning grins, one can notice his teeth are slightly sharper than one would expect. While not unwieldy, it's enough to add some sharpness to his smiles.
A new explorer to Eorzea, Daikisho currently finds himself within the desert lands of Thanalan the most. The climate is the most agreeable to him, and it was thanks to his newfound friend S'uga that he made landfall as soon as he did.
Coin never was something Daikisho considered much, as his people often traded items for items. As such, he finds himself low on coin a lot, and tries to take on odd jobs as he can; even if he's unaware of what's considered a poor deal for him.
Since the written word is a new concept to his people, Daikisho never learned reading or writing in general, let alone Eorzean Common. Better hope to have a picture handy for reference.
Daikisho possesses an uncanny affinity to fire magic in particular, at the detriment to other types of magics. He does possess a rudimentary understanding of healing magic, though it mostly involves cauterizing wounds.
Owing to a chance encounter in his youth, Daikisho possesses a nigh-insane level of regeneration. So far, there hasn't been a limit seen to what he can recuperate; from torn muscle, to exposed organs, Daikisho probably should have been dead by now.

No Adult/Lewd RP out the bat. I only do those when I feel comfortable with the person I'm RPing with. Furthermore, I will only potentially do Lewd RP if both the character and RPer is 20, bare minimum.
No metagaming to exploit weaknesses not learned naturally, please. I'm aware Daikisho has an innately strong design, but I try my best to make sure he's not an unstoppable force.
Darker RPs are okay, as long as there's no overtly triggering themes (No SA for example.) However, I try to keep those to a more reasonable degree, so I don't dampen my mood badly.
I am an LGBT+ Positive RPer. I'd prefer not to deal with topics like Transphobia, Homophobia, or any other form of Queerphobia. In a great big fantasy world, I'd really rather not have that be the major conflict.
I'm a mostly long-formed RPer with responses. However, I am fine if one prefers to keep responses short. As long as I feel like I have something I can work with, I'm more than happy to just be Roleplaying.
